Macaroni and cheese!

I swear I am going to be calling the fire department eventually! This is not a good thing. I keep burning the macaroni and cheese. It doesn't matter if I stand over top of it or if I walk away and get stuff done. It is always the same results. I finally switched the pots I was cooking in. Now at least it is not so hard to scrape off the bottom. My daughter thinks it is funny. Then, she realized she wasn't going to eat it and now, whenever I make it she watches the stove and gives me updates. I turned the heat down on what I was making today and the water was too cold to cook the noodles and the noodles started sticking together. What a day! Anyone want mac and cheese, I'm not cooking!

Best thing to do is cook the macaroni, then drain it. Add cheese sauce. Then pop it in the oven for 15 minutes.

I like the stove top kind. Too much work for oven. My kids won't eat the kind that you bake. Sounds like you enjoy it. Happy macaroni and cheese.

@pgiblett I think if you are going to burn macaroni and cheese the oven version tastes better burnt.

@mommaj I used to find the stove top version burnt every time I did it and that is why I switched to the oven version.

I usually cook mac and cheese at the oven. Well, I don't think it can be called mac and cheese anymore as it is more of a casserole now. Oh well, it's the mixing part that I am not really fan of, but if ever we need something easy to pair with grilled chicken, good old mac and cheese is something that we always tun to.

I like mac and cheese with chicken. I have never been fond of the baked macaroni and cheese. I never had the time to shred the cheese to put on the macaroni and don't get me started about the milk and eggs. It was always too much of a task for me. Maybe that's why I don't like it. My tummy knows it would be too much of a task and take too long.

You are definitely missing out. Everyone should taste macaroni and cheese at least once every couple of weeks. It is easy to make. I just don't excel at cooking.

I think macaroni and cheese is a ideal food for children and elders, though cooking it is a uphill task. I think you have to invent a better way to cook macaroni and cheese. Happy cooking.

I hate to cook. Macaroni and cheese is suppose to be easy. I would hate to try something more difficult.
