I think girls like good boys that's a bit bad... And bad boys that's only good to them.

We live in a world where we need people who could do something difficult. Good guys go so much by the books that should something difficult come up they would be like fish out of water. Instinctively girls want to be protected, and the person who is bad is usually strong and powerful. It is not liking as much as feeling secure with such person that draws girls to such folks. My two pence worth thinking. :)

@DWDavis ..Could it be that those girls feel trapped and are afraid that whoever they seek help of, will be killed or hurt? Or don't know whom they should trust to get out of that trap? I don't believe girls like that sort of man. They are there just to escape bigger issue or are planning something serious which may even be killing such a man.

Most of the bad boys I've seen girls with were cruel, insensitive, selfish, and their idea of being strong was giving the girl a beat down when she overcooked a meal or he didn't like her makeup.
Good guys may often go by the book, but more importantly, they do what's right when nobody's there keeping score. Sometimes that might mean taking down the bad guy.

In my experience, most of the girls I've seen who like bad boys are girls raised by single or divorced moms who didn't have a positive male presence in their lives while they were growing up. These girls don't know how a man should treat a woman and they mistake being bullied and intimidated for being cared about.

I honestly have a bad boy thing. It's like a guilty pleasure. Sure, I would like to think I like the good guy that opens doors for me and pays for my meal. That's in a perfect world though. I would rather go to a concert or veg out on the couch and eat taco bell :) It's the darndest thing.

@DWDavis I can't really argue about it, 2 of my exes went to prison so :/ I've always been attracted to the bad boys.

The definition of good or bad will differ from person to person (read girl to girl).

I m pretty sure that girls have no ideea what they really want when it comes to men :) i think they want something else every day or even worse alot of things at the same time. My best guess is that depending on things that elude my judgement they sometimes want bad boys and sometimes good boys...

Ha just found this and it's similar to a question I am asking myself! I have just started seeing a "nice guy" who just isn't doing it for me compared to the "bad boy" I was seeing in summer last year. I think it is all down to confidence, one has it the other doesn't and that is what makes the difference. Problem is a "bad boy" is not the guy you want it you want something a little more stable...
