Other Considerations

My mind is running a bit slow, maybe because I have so much to do in so short a time.
Anyway, as I'm sitting here contemplating my new computer I realized the car needs care too. A tune-up, oil change and maybe the radiator needs fixing. That will need to come before the computer.
One the farthest back burner is a new TV. The sound is going, and no it's not my hearing. I can turn it up to 50 and I can't hear it, then the next time I turn it on it's so loud I need to turn it down. That doesn't always work. So turning it off when the volume is where it should be and turning it back on, will usually - not always - get me the right volume. Then if the show I'm watching has any music in it, forget it. It goes way low for the music and up again when the music is done.
So after the car and the new computer is going to be a new TV.
Thanks for reading.
Time to turn on the Packers game. I'll be back when it's over.

I bought my TV on special. It was one they used for display. I have had it about five years now without any problems. Hope it continues to work for awhile I would like to get a larger one next time.

Looks like you got your list all figured out. While the prospect of going shopping is exciting, I also find it stressful at the same time because I am the type of person who tends to overanalyze things especially when I have to shell out some serious amount of hard-earned money. But then again, that is why we work hard - to be able to improve our quality of life and enjoy quality stuff.

Yes it is, and then I still hold onto my money as long as I can.

Those things do sound more important than another computer-as long as what you have now is still working.

sounds like you have a lot on your plate between the car, the computer and the need for a new TV

Sorry you're going through it! Sounds like a country song. What's the desktop computer doing? Is it not getting to Windows? Is it not powering on at all? And as far as the laptop goes, are you getting a blue or black screen with writing on it, or just slowness and errors?
Over time, software gets corrupted and needs to be reinstalled, or Windows could be infected with malware. As long as the hardware is physically sound, software issues can be fixed and the computer will run like new again.

It was hard watching the game because the volume changed so much, going up and down. Sometimes I could barely hear it. It amazes me that I had no trouble hearing the commercials.

I agree that the car should be worked on before getting a new computer. We sometimes have trouble with the volume on our TV also but it's the cable channels, not our TV. We can watch one channel and the sound is perfect. We can then switch to another channel and the sound will be extremely low or extremely loud.

I might suggest adding external speakers to the TV, can keep the receipt and if it doesnt work, return them. I have a tv with broken sound and we are trying that first

@just4him sometimes you can run the sound through like a DVR/DVD player or something, or just add like a cheapy sound bar. I have found some of those for like 30 bucks, which is way better than a new tv.

@Jessicalynnt The sound does seem better on the DVD player than when I watch regular TV, but then I'm watching Netflix when I do or movies.

I have a few pricey things that I need to buy too. Gotta set those priorities. It's seems once I save up for one, something comes up that I need to spendn that money that my car breaks down or something. Can't seem to get ahead. Go pack go. I assume to know they are going to the play offs!
