Ah, I gave in...

I've been having trouble deciding what to buy for Christmas this year. My girls really only need money. What I usually buy them for their Christmas Eve box they don't really need either. They have tons of pajama bottoms. But, when I went into the store where I buy their underwear I saw the pj bottoms were buy one get one free so I couldn't turn that deal down. I usually buy 7 pairs of underwear (cheaper that way) - 3 for each girl and 1 for myself, but there was a discount bin so I only bought 6 - 3 for each, none for me. I also said I wasn't going to buy a game this year but when hubby sent me out of the jewelry store I went into the calendars and games store across the way and the first game I saw was "Selfie". You take a card, it tells you what expression to make, and then take a selfie making that face. I thought my girls would love this, especially my younger daughter. She can take it back to university and have a blast with her room mates. Still, I bought less than usual.

I don't know what the fuss is with selfies but I know the youngsters love them. That is a lovely photo of you below.

Some times my girls will get a hold of my cell phone and fill it up with silly videos and selfies.

Selfies are big, I don't get it but then I'm old. Your daughter and her room mates will love it.

I'm terrible at taking selfies. I can't get the camera in the right position and my hands shake. If I'm in any selfies, there is usually someone else in the picture and they took it... except for my profile picture here. It's the best selfie I've ever taken. My daughter took this picture of us preparing to zip line in Vegas.

@fishtiger58 Which one? The profile pic? Someone from my high school days said I looked mischievous in the picture.

I got the twins selfie sticks. My daughter has been asking for one for awhile. They didn't cost much, and I got the on Black Friday. That will be a stocking stuffer for each of them.

My younger daughter did tell me she wanted a selfie stick but she also said she thought her friends would laugh at her, so I didn't get her one.

My kids are still on the young side. Although my son is now a pre-teen. So the game changed with him. I try to get the things that they want. Sometimes I cannot though. But there is always next year.

At that age they are still "playing" with stuff, watching movies, etc. My older daughter is working her butt off taking every shift she can to pay off her student loans and VISA as quickly as possible, and pretty much sleeps the rest of the time. My younger daughter is in university. I know they watch Netflix and some television at her house, but mostly she is studying. They both expressed the want for iTunes cards since both of them have new albums they want to download.

@patgalca iTunes cards are always a saving grace. My kids love them. And my son wants those Microsoft points for his x-box. It was a good christmas for the kids this year. Now we look forward to new years eve.

They said on the news today that the average person spends over $600 for Christmas gifts. I didn't spend anywhere near that much. Maybe half at the most.

I am sure that they will love the gifts. I am strapped for funds this year, as I have been out of work since November 16th. My kids appreciate anything I give them, big or small.

Selfies are popular among the youngsters, I cannot understand the reason, but I am not young.

Is nt it a nice lovely feeling when you get to buy gifts for your family during such times of festivities. I am happy for you that you found things that are of use. I loved the concept of the selfie - that is surely going to be fun at almost all ages.
