How would I describe the situation? I feel sorry for Ms. Colombia. I feel bad for the host for he must be receiving a lot of criticisms and online bashing right after what happened in the Ms. Universe pageant. He must have had mixed emotions, full of tension and pressure at the time he announced the winner. (okay, i don't know what i'm saying already)
He admitted his mistake and I feel really sorry for Ms. Colombia about what happened. If that happened to me, I would also cry for I would take that as a shameful situation. I'm from the Philippines and I'm proud of Pia because I believe that she deserves to be the Ms. Universe.
Can you forgive Steve Harvey for that terrible mistake? He announced Colombia as Ms. Universe 2015 instead of Philippines. I myself could justify what just happened. And I forgive him. People make mistakes and the good thing is he corrected himself immediately.

Latinos and Southeast Asians dont see Pageants as exploitation of women. They see it as sports. I know they were not popular in Europe but yeah They were viewed differently. Also how those women were exploited when majority of the people watching are either women or gay men. Yup men dont really watch these except from the ones from Pageant crazy countries.

The whole beauty pageant circus is crazy and out of date and anything that accelerates its demise can't be a bad thing. Miss Universe is obsolete and ridiculous.

Only Europe and maybe western countries dont care for it. It is viewed differently in Latin America ,Africa and Southeast Asia. As long as Latin America Africa and South Asia see their Pageant girls as heroes, the demise of pageants wont happen.
In Venezuela their title holders became politicians because they were seen as trustworthy public servants. I am not kidding.

Steve Harvey is a good host, he made a mistake and he apologized. He was in remorse and it was obvious on TV...
