What I did to keep myLot bank growing steadily

I joined myLot since Septemeber and didn't plan to stick around. I was going to finish my research and nuke the account.
Three months later on, I'm still posting away. I can tell you it's not about the $$$ because it's not, the interactions I get from this site outweighed any $$$ myLot pays out.
At the same time, it is ALL about the $$$! There's something nice about watching your bank balance goes up.. even by cents. I am sure, you know what I'm talking about.
My earnings averaged over the 3 months have been extremely steady. The days I earned next to nothing, are the days I didn't even log on.
So this what I did to keep my bank growing steadily:
1) Create one discussion a day. I think there are enough posts on how to write interesting posts already, so I'm not going to re-invent the wheels here.
2) Respond back to the people that responded to my post. If someone is interested in what I have to say about this topic, chances are I will enjoy exploring the topic with them.
3) Someone I really enjoy interacting with let's put them on "Follow" and check out their posts. Chances are they are probably talking about things I'm interested in. 9 Times out of 10 they are!
4) Comment on the posts that are interesting, it's ok to disagree. But keep it classy. No one needs aggravation after all. The community rewards positive interaction after all.
5) Check out the newbies and unanswered posts, there could be some very well written gem there. Help another member and you are rewarded in more way than one.
6) Enjoy myself and have fun. The best way to keep $$$ growing steadily is to enjoy myself. Not to fret over about the popularity of my posts. If a discussion doesn't take off, no big deal! My comments are probably taking off somewhere and collecting $$$...
All in all, I have had a very busy month, there have been days I barely logged on. But, my bank has been more healthy than ever.. so I thought I'll share my experience here.

I've yet to discover the secret receipe to "making a hit discussion", so I don't rely on it as the basis of my "earning". :)

Mine has been going up ever so slowly. I won't reach payout this month, but then, I wasn't trying all that hard either, and it has been slow. It should pick up after Christmas and New Years. I think that everyone is getting ready for teh holiday, so they just can't spend the time in here that they would like. I do come in here in the moring, and do my notifications that I receive over night.I haven't been taking the time to post to new discussions, as I have things to do besides here, that take precedence to mylot.

I think you are doing just what you need to do. Even days when I'm not here I still see account growing although not much few cents but "every bit helps"
My way of thinking, on Bubblews I had 2,800 post, here I have just a little over 200 and with those 200+ post I still earn ok it's only a small amount but if I have 2,000+ posts, how much would I earn? I guess it will be more than a few cent but I could be wrong.
When I first came to the world of earning online I read about "content is king" which I though was a load of rubbish it was until a few years late I realise that it is true, the more content you have the more chances of you have of someone seeing your work.
If you only had one post/item or whatever you like to call it, the chances of it been seen online is very slim. If you had 1,000 post/items the odd change.
I think if you continue to write over time you will continue to earn and the more you write the more you should be earning.

Totally, you summarised it nicely. Its good myLot is a platform for you to be able to practice content generation. I do find that I can write better and I am more willing to write since I've been onto myLot.

I was here on MyLot way back when. And it was a great site then, and now it is a great site again. I was on cloud nine when I heard that MyLot was going to start paying again. And I haven't stopped since. I think for most of us it is about the money. I believe we all like to see some incentive for the work we put into the site.

I like to think of writing @Drosophila as communication too. If there was just one style of writing in the world that would just be horrid. There are all kinds of roles, writers and writing applications. I hope you do find the position you want in the new year where you can exercise your skills in an area you want.

HAHAHA.. volunteer test subjects! Well, am hoping to wrap up the diploma and move onto the social media jobs. I still don't like writing, so am trying to see if I can get a role with minimal "content generation" and more strategical planning.
Like Why, When, Who, How, to communicate, but not "what". What = the actual message to communicate.

@Drosophila Yeah....that's the right strategy.Send a post and then begin interacting with others on their posts.Let your post attract the maximum possible number of likes and comments.Send another post the next day.

It's great right! I've tried posting more than 1 discussion a day, and I find it's not a good approach. It actually cannibalises the other post. So I just let it run its course then post another one later.

My myLot bank is looking good. Already crossed the $5 minimum payout so I'm expecting some extra cash in the coming days. Still posting though as I want to get a significant amount of cash next time.
