My Mechanic

United States

My husband and I have far too many vehicles. I call my husband, "car poor." He always wants another vehicle which drives me absolutely insane for the simple fact that something is always broken. It is hard to keep up with all the vehicles he thinks he needs so he finds himself always working on something. Here lately he has got the attention of my son and I now how two mechanics. There is two problems with having two mechanics. It means, twice the grease venturing into the house after a long day out in the garage. I now have two grease tracks to the bathroom instead of just one. Then, there comes the bill. Okay, this is just a joke but my son thinks he needs to charge me for any work done to the vehicles. He will work on my husbands trucks for "free." However, when it comes to my car he always comes in saying, "mom, that will be $2." Most the time there is nothing wrong with my car but if he looks at I get a "bill." That bill trick must have been something his daddy taught him during there garage time! Photo belongs to me.

Lol! I don't have kids yet but I'm assuming I'll be in your shoes one day. My husband has a camaro and there is ALWAYS something wrong with it and if there isn't, he's cleaning the damn thing and breaks something. Gotta love the grease monkeys though.

Oh my word! I completely know where you are coming from. I swear my husband can spend hours outside just cleaning his truck, like seriously?

@farbuoloxusy Yes! I mean I'm glad it's something productive, but the prices of some of those parts are no joke. I think my husband spent well over a couple grand on just his car lol it's really not funny but it kind of is. I thank god though because when my cars aren't working or something, I have my own mechanic at home

He is learning on dad's vehicles so he can apply his knowledge to yours. It is too funny.

He is a cutie! Wonder what he wants the pay for? Perhaps he is saving up to buy you a gift.

So is your son going to grow up to be a mechanic?
