Everyone looks for the secret recipe here on the site to help increase their earning. The secret formula is so simple and easy to follow. Just like for years the campaign for Jack-in-the box was their mystery secrete sauce. Well here is your mystery secret formula to help you out.
Invest + Time = Increased Earning
This sounds simple and basic enough to follow. But it still seems like some people need a little more help. So basically I will teach you how to decrypt this math equation and unlock all the hidden secretes to the site.
Invest – This means you will need to spend some time here on the site reading, searching, and responding to other posts. This site is based on Interaction. That means not only interacting with people who respond to your posts but also going to other posts and responding to them.
Time – This one can be tricky for people. Not everyone has a lot of time to spend on MyLot. So when you’re here make the most of your time. Spend it wisely by commenting back on your own discussion. When you comment – make it lively. The goal is to keep the person interested and coming back again to read your comment. Lively discussion with back and forth interactions attract a lot of people and really help your earnings.
Interact = Key to MyLot– OK what does it mean to interact. If we look this up – here is what the online dictionary has to say: act in such a way as to have an effect on another; act reciprocally.
So basically you have 2 ways to interact with people on the site – One: by commenting and keeping your discussions live. Keep the person interested so they comment back to you. Second – go to a discussion and read it – Leave a comment behind. Make your comments interesting so the person is happy to respond back and interact with you.
November Post by TheBugMan – Here The Bug Man tells us if we go to New Users, No Responses, or comment on a members post who aren’t very active we can gain a little extra. Well here is how I see this. I feel it is excellent advice and have been doing this for a while now. However, the rewards are not forthcoming and you don’t see a return on your investment. Why? Because you can leave 30 responses to people in these sections and maybe just maybe you’ll get back 5 comments.
So now you know the secret to Increased Earning on the site. However, there is one simple error in this equation. Not everyone here does this. So if a handful of people follow this equation and other’s don’t we don’t really see any Increased Earning.
I have thought about this and thought about this. I have given advice to new people and people who continue to land in No Responses. But at the end of the day they don’t seem to understand or change.
What can we all do here to make this happen; so that all members are on the same page? So we all benefit from the site and see Increased Earning?
Frustration is setting in when we respond to people’s discussion and never see a response back to us. So now how can we help everyone understand this simple formula and have everyone write, read, respond, comment, and interact with all members here on the site?

@poehere I fear some of them will never get it. I've just been through the 'no responses' list, and there are people there with post after post with no traffic on them - you'd think that would tell them something.
They were nothing I could respond to either.

I feel like this is the hardest one to get drilled into them. If they would just interact more and write less it would be so much better for them. People here get tired to see 4 to 8 posts a day from the same person. 1 or 2 is basically all that is needed. A small contribution of discussion is perfect and spend the rest of the time interacting. This works so nicely and make a handsome reward.

@sugartoes It's impossible to read and comment on everything that is posted, and I don't agree that one is as good as another. There are good and bad, the same as anything in life.
The ones that have a lot of comments are usually more interesting.

If people would only get the interaction bit down they would have it made on here. I do agree with M.L. however. It all seems to fall on deaf ears. Many just don't get it.

You are so right on this one. People still don't get it. I saw a member who has been here forever. Right now most of his posts land in no responses. I did respond to a few of them and he didn't even bother to acknowledge I had done this one. Now I will pass him by and forget about him. I have a lot of people who do this one and now I don't bother to respond or try to interact with them now. It seems they don't want to do this with anybody here on the site.

There will always be new members coming in, it's almost impossible to get EVERYONE on the same page here in myLot.
All you can do is give guidance where you can and hope it helps.

True. If someone new came in, it will always be the same questions they will ask about the site.

@cherriefic That is right but here nobody has a way to help out because posts are mixed up and all over the place. A lot of people don't take time to search either.

Yes you are so right. Even some member who came here just before me use to be real social. Now they no longer care to be social. But they do complain that their account is not as active as before. When commenting on their post they need to interact they get angry with me. But this is the truth interaction is how this site works. The more you interact the more you make friends and people go to your posts and comment on them.

Those who are successful here do those things already, those who don't have a clue - never will have a clue. But since it says in the Guidelines how you earn here, it's not really a secret.

I know this one but it seems right now it is not working this way at all. Seems like there is a lot of people just waiting for comments on their work and not doing anything at all. I guess that was the point here to tell people they have forgotten the basic functions of the site. Being social.

@AbbyGreenhill But you can't make them drink. Same as here. We can show, advise, teach, but if nobody wants to learn it is hard to do.

I agree with the equation you made. Though responding to those discussions created by new users might not bring good return, I think if possible, it'd be good to encourage the newbies to interact more and read more good discussions, so they will learn better. Of course, some might not be reading or following the rules, but I am sure there are still many newbies who really want to participate, and they would really love to read helpful posts like yours.
It's not easy to reach out to everyone, but we just try to help as much as we can.

I am fairly new here. I learned right away to make friends means to read and respond to other discussions. I never posted a lot of my own discussion and still today I post maybe 1 or 2 at the most. I don't post daily on here either. I like to go around and read and interact with people. I find out when I post daily at times I don't have time to do anything else but to answer my own comments. I like to also have time to respond to other stuff too. I miss too much when I post too often.

Very good post. I enjoyed it thoroughly. You should also write something how to find a topic to write on. I do not post much discussions, I only participate on others comments most of the time. Most of the time I don't find a good topic to right on. I do like to write on daily life happenings on mylot. Although I read a lot such posts and comment.

@poehere yeah I had read that post too. But I still don't how to talk about your daily experiences like others, they do it comfortably whereas I find it little strange in my case. Also right now, everyone is talking about Christmas, gifts, shopping and Santa. In mylot I can see and read trends but still hesitate to start a discussions what I feel. I find myself comfortable with reading others' post and responding and commenting.

I think I have done that before. How to write a award winning topic here on the site. I had a lot of people who read it and responded to this one. I also discussed titles and what is a good title and a bad title. I have tried to break down how to write content and how to attract people to your topics. I do get a lot of people who read them but it seems the ones who need to read them never do.

@rocky1980 I can see this one too. If you don't celebrate the holidays it is hard to find something to talk about. If you have some hobbies maybe this is a great topic to talk about. If you have some sort of special talents and like to read or write then this is a good idea too. If you love to take photos why not start sharing some of them and telling people about them.

It sure is. I did write a post about award winning title or eye magnetic titles. This is how you get people to read what you have to say.

I could spend a great deal more time than I do, but truth is I do have other things to do. Currently I login for a 15 minute period in the morning, again at lunch time, then once again in the evening. Apart from that I have other work to complete.

Yes like all of us do. I think the ones who spend the most time on here are retired or work at home. Some of them do different things to pull in some money. But like you a real working job is necessary and with it comes a lot of other stuff to do all the time.

Comes down to this: Wanna make 'real' money, get a 'real' job. However the 'bank' does inflate better by interacting. There's no 'one man band' on this site...It's a 'scratch my back and I'll scratch yours type of thing.

@Wordly1 I think one or two a day is more than enough. If you do more than this you will receive less comments. Why because like me I see a lot from one person I will answer one and skip the rest. I don't think I need to answer more. I would rather spend time answering a few other people and not just one person.

@else34 I think it has to do with time. It takes time to search, find, and read discussion of others. Plus when yuo have written one or two of your own it takes time to comment back to everyone who has left you a comment. I think that is why a lot of people don't do this so much now. In the beginning people do this all the time to gain friends and followers. After they have this they slack off and don't keep it up. This is where they are wrong. They need to keep doing this all the time to make it work here on the site.

Let us hope so. I know everyone on here hints around about this and tell new comers how it all works. But until you work on the site for a few weeks it doesn't all sink in. Once it does it is easy to see how it works and make it work for you and your time.
