Do you keep your earnings on here private?

Not that it is anyone's business but if another MyLotter happened to ask you how much you've earned so far or how much you roughly make daily, would you tell them or would you rather just keep all that to yourself? I've had 2 people ask me. I didn't really mind sharing but I don't know why they only messaged me to ask me that. Don't see how they can benefit from knowing.

I never report my earnings to anyone. That is weird that two people thought it was important enough to message you to ask. What is the point in that? Oh wait...maybe it was two of the guys who told you they love you, and they want to know how much you earn so they can see if you can support them when you get married to them! haha

haha actually yes one of them was the same person. The other one was some random from India. Can't remember his name but haven't heard from him since anyway so it's all good. And ooooh my god! HAHA ah no no and HECK NO. Would rather marry a rhino.

@moffittjc lol ok maybe that was a bit extreme...and I am not into animals anyway. But I guess my point is that no way on Earth will I marry some internet creeper!

I would consider being asked in a private message to be an invasion of privacy and would take steps to see that that person was unable to contact me in the future. It can be of no practical use to anyone else to know how much I earn and to ask in a PM is impolite to say the least. I suspect that these people haven't only messaged you. It's likely that they have sent similar queries to others and (personally) I would consider reporting them. Many might feel that too strong, though, and would just ignore or block them.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did send the same messages to others. I block one of them at least and told the other one to stop messaging me and he did stop but next time I will take things a bit further so insure they would stop doing it in general.

It's probably curiosity. I wonder about peoples earnings when i see they have high thousands numbers near their name. I dont care if they ask. It might be motivation to know how much they earn look at their numbers and strive for the same.

No I don't. I was raised in an era when asking people how much money they made was considered very rude. Not one of the people I have as internet friends has ever asked me that.

Well even for today, I still find it a bit rude. I mean not so much with MyLot but an actual job I find it rude for people to ask about.

One of the people who messaged me actually said something like "wow how did you get so much in so little time can you teach me your tricks." I just told them what you pretty much said. About being active and just interacting with as many people as you can.

I do tell others, but on the other hand, they really have no reason to ask me in the first place. It wouldn't help them earn anymore one way or the other. We are all here to interact, and by interacting we will earn, and that is what it is all about. I really think though what we ern, and how much we earn, is only our business and no one elses. Thank goodness, I am not asked that often, so I don't have to tell them anything if i don't want to.

@VivaLaDani13 You are so right. I know I won't reach the payout this month, and that is all I will say. I don't ask others what their earnings are either, as it doesn't matter to me whatsoever.

It isn't anyone business and no one is required to share any info they are want to keep to themselves. You could ask them why they want to know? Maybe they are just insecure. Lots of people share that info so there is always a source to use a a reference.

@VivaLaDani13 I only like a pm from someone that has interacted with me though I've gotten a couple with questions like how does this thing work. We aren't required to answer questions we don't want to answer. Do you want to know how you can make a little extra on myLot?

I don't see anything wrong in it , if someone asks me that question? Maybe our inputs can help them in a better way and nothing wrong in disclosing our earnings as we are the one who is gonna enjoy it ultimately at the end :)

I don't much keep it a secret, but I do agree there's not much benefit to someone knowing what someone else makes here simply because everyone's earnings is based on how they participate on the site. Since everyone is different, everyone's true earnings potential is also different.

@porwest I agree with you. Knowing someone else's earnings doesn't affect the one asking. Like you said, it's based on how active people are on here. You can't always match what others are making on here.

@VivaLaDani13 Absolutely. At the end of the day you do what works best for you and what meets your own personal objective. I try to keep up with notifications, comment back on my own posts, and respond as well as I can on comments on other's posts. It seems to earn well enough, but what works for me may not necessarily work for someone else.

I have had no occasion when any mylotter directly asked me about my earnings. Earnings differ from person to person, so asking one another does not make any sense to my mind.

I think earning should be keeping as a secret. As we know, we rarely share the financial status with others right?. If i can check out, I also keep it secret, if i cant check out i will warn people about scamming, hehe

It depends on who is asking and also on my mood. Generally, I don't mind sharing. But after that admin's post in which he asked about our opinions on whether we want our earnings displayed or not, I don't share it. There were many who said that it creates jealousies and showing off feelings .... uh... whatever I will share with one I want to. Not everyone.
