This Time of Year

At this time of year
we hold all of our
friends and family dear
it’s time to catch up
on love and understanding
to renew friendships
that have been put aside
to remember the good times
and forget the bad
if only for awhile
if only for the holiday
it might just fill our hearts
with love that will last
the whole New Year through
it’s time for Christmas songs
and brightly lit Christmas trees
time to remember
why we celebrate
let’s open up our homes
and let Christ back in
then we can light the candles
and spread the joy
hand out kisses and hugs
and be full of cheer
so as we prepare
let’s remember that it’s not the presents that matter
it’s the love that we have to share
it’s being together
for another New Year

I truly don't wait for this time of the year to do most of the things you mention--I do them all year round as I learned how important they are!

When we look back to the past we have to admit that we have missed out something important in our life, for instance,we always have no time to company with our family or our friends and often get an excuse we are so busy making money to support our family in order to give them a better life. yes, we do need to earn much money to support our home,but when we are so busy doing sort of things ,at the same time we lose someting meaningful.now we all get a chance to stay with our family,our friends,chat with them and listen to some interesting things what they tell . and I hope you will enjoy what you are doing right now. merry christmas!!!!!
