So Proud Of Myself

I am so proud of myself right now, I could burst! I have managed to do 50 minutes of walking without stopping. I did the walking in our basement.
Of course, my feet are killing me right now and I am just relaxing here while reading and commenting on my friend's discussions.
After the relax time, I have to go and do some housework which is not as much fun as mylotting or walking.
The weather here is dreadful right now.

How do you walk downstairs for 50 min?..does that mean you are in another town?

@Rosekitty What you can do (if you are so inclined) is walk on the spot while watching TV, If you don't have the space. Easy solution.

Congratulations on you wonderful achievement today. it sound like you are making a lot of progress. Please keep it up and don't stop. Once you stop it is so hard to start again. Let me tell you I know. I broke my arm last year and after it healed and I spent time in physical theropy for it I didn't get back to my exercise program right away. I kept putting it off saying OK tomorrow. But then tomorrow did not come. Finally I forced myself to do it. Man was I sore for a few days but it was worth it. Now I am back doing my daily exercises and routine and I do feel so much better. It is good when you feel wonderful after an exercise period. Keep up to walking it is so good for you.

It's better to exercise as near to home as possible. Especially if you can't walk or stand for too long without pain. I'm glad you were able to walk for so long, and it seems you've chosen a good place to relax as well.

@marlina I bet it is nice and quiet as well? I've never had a basement, but my sister has one and it's mostly a quiet space to relax.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We love our basement. My husband and our 2 sons used to play hockey with their roller skates years ago.

Do you use a fitbit or any of those the devices? I know they are the rage right now.

@AbbyGreenhill I prefer to rely on my own motivation. I feel proud when I accomplish what I plan to do.

@marlina I know it doesn't do anything, but those who use it love it - it 'makes' you get up and move...it would take dynamite to get me moving.

Nice job, I can usually walk about 3 miles before my feet hurt. It helps to have good shoes.
