Money is everything now a days

Back to mylot after a long time. I have seen that money is everything in today's time. If you have money, you will have friends, lots of well wishers, name, fame and success. If you don't have money irrespective of how much talented you are no one cares about you.Why the society behaves like this. Every human being has right to live his life with dignity. But now everyone is becoming materialistic. Guys I am afraid what will happen after 20-30 years.

It depends who your talking about. Not everyone cares that much about money. I know I don't care about how much money others have at all. Love for God and others is what's most important.

I am talking about most of the people. You are pretty much right in saying that Love for God and others are important. But very few people in todays world believe about all these things. Even i am also disturbed because of this.

Ironically those who are already rich do not view people like this. They want talented people to help them, though they do not show their dislikes of those money-suckers publicly.

nothing wrong with having lots of money, it's too much love of money that is wrong. If you are blessed with money, then so be it , but remember to be a good steward, being Christian, I do not forget to tithe and help others whenever possible, the materialistic world is very short and sooner or later we will be held accountable for the blessings and talents given to us.

The desire to earn money attract many users to mylot and they just write and discuss here anything under the sky. What you said is correct, no one could survive in this cruel world without money.

I am choosy with the persons i consider as friends and share my life with. Those that are only interested in my money or any material goods i possess are not allowed into my life and dont desserve even a speck of my attention.

Some think they will be happier if they get things but the feeling is short lived. Others perhaps are in need of money or feel pressured to obtain it? What do you think?

Money has its place in the world, as do love.. They are both important, and most people do get by with at least a slice of both. :)

Yes I only have few true friends and I only know who they are when I left my job and therefore no money. The treatment is no longer the same even some relatives as if I will always borrow or steal from them. LOL
