Dozens of cookies

Today was baking day for cookies. I cut out and baked several batches of sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies. Cutters in hand I punched out snowflakes, angels, santa, sleigh and reindeer. Tomorrow I will decorate them and hopefully I can get some help. I enjoy making and decorating cookies at Christmas time. It is a tradition my family hold dear. What are some of the goodies you bake each Christmas?

I am thinking about quitting because I am old and tired but I make thousands of cookies, cupcakes and brownies. Not for me but for everyone else, the elderly for the most part.

It's very nice of you to make cookies and cup cakes for the elderly people.

Over here, I do not know of anyone who bakes cookies.
I think those who stay home and bake cookies can make a lot of money during the festive season.
Most of us tend to buy the store-made ones, or if we can find someone who bakes at home, then we can get from them.
Personally my circle of friends and acquaintances do not bake or cook.
They are as lazy as me, and only good at eating.

I was baking and cooking since I was a child so it is part of me and part of tradition. Our friends and family like to receive home made things during the holidays

All of my Christmas cookies are gone but they were a hit. I made chocolate chips, oatmeal raisin, sugar and thumbprints.

I don't know how to bake cake and cookies, and sadly there is no one in the family who know this. We prefer buying cakes and cookies from the market as we don't consume them a lot ( only at the time of Birthdays and parties) and my family members think that it is just a kind of headache to make your own cake when you can buy it from the market ( just a lame excuse for not learning something new ).

Yes it is much easier buying cookies. I do like to make them for the holidays and then give them as gifts

It's fun, isn't it? Now I just have to hope they are all eaten quickly.

since my big brother is here (the 3 left this afternoon, back to the capital city to attend the cremation rites of our departed cousin), he almost always buys food from the restaurants and ten we eat here at home, or he treats us out.

It is nice when you don't have to do a lot of cooking and baking and can spend that time doing other things
