I convinced him not to go

Hubby was certain he was going to a mall in another town to get some new shoes with a coupon. First he picked me up, then we went to eat at a Pizza Hut Buffet.
He was so sleepy he had a hard time staying on the road.
I asked him how busy it had been at work this morning. He told me, and of course it was crazy busy.
I talked him into just stopping at a grocery store to get his rutabagas for tomorrow and bananas, then we went back home. He is napping before the church service tonight.
I did not want to go shopping today.

I do not blame you. I Imagine it its very packed with last minute shoppers. I am sure the occasional return gift is being done as well. Hope you have a restful evening.

@GardenGerty Enjoy The Service. A UK lotter this morning had me envious of the service they attend at Christmas.

@ScribbledAdNauseum This was mostly a program by the children. Not the pageantry of high church, but very nice.

When we are too tired we do not always use good judgement so I am glad he did this.

@GardenGerty You are right, when we are tired we don't always think things through.

It was probably a mad house today anywhere you may have gone.

Well, the Pizza Hut was calm, but he had been to work in a Wal Mart and dealt with crowds already.

I was pretty worried about the traffic and nutty people on the road.

We did our big celebrating early when all the kids were here and so had very relaxed time at Christmas.

It is really important to rest when we get a chance and avoid crazy people.

We will get new shoes. He wanted to use the coupon, but no coupon will be worth risking your life. I do not like crowds in stores.

And we all know that sleepy drivers on the road over the holidays are not a good idea. Shoes can wait. Sometimes, it's better to put stuff off.

Yes, it is. We can have time to shop when things have calmed down.
