Yes this one could be true. I know on Christmas Eve here it is a family event but then there are some who make it a drinking event too if they don't have kids. So I guess it happens everywhere and this is to be expected this time of year. I'm glad you liked this one so much and had a good laugh on it.

@poehere Sounds like it was an awesome night of fun. I am looking forward to new years eve for all the fun and excitement. I will be drinking, one of only two times I drink a year. I know it will be a late night and nothing wrong with that.

@poehere We traveled 2 hours to my parents house. It was good seeing them and seeing my sister, her husband and their daughter (my niece). It is very unseasonably warm here. It feels almost like Spring when it should start being cold and Winter like. The whole holiday has been odd (but good in that we spent time with family).

@LeaPea2417 I have been so use to this one for years now. I live in the tropics and this is our summer season. So here the holiday is so different. but I can see if you live in a cold country it can feel strange to not have a cold Christmas. I sure hope it won't turn quickly and you will have a cold front move in and then another one. I know this can happen too and it all depends on the year and the weather on this one.

This reminds me of a version released years ago by the guy who plays the Father Jack character in the TV comedy series "Father Ted". There are versions that show the lyrics if you find it hard to follow the speech in this one.
Here is my interpretation on one of my favorite renditions of the 12 Days of Christmas. The Singer is Frank Kelly (Father Jack from the TV series of Father T...

I just woke up to a very good laugh today. Now this one is adorable and so cute. I was not expecting this one but it was worth hearing it all. I had a great laugh on this one and enjoyed it ever so much. Glad you liked mine and it was fun making it up and writing it to give everyone a good laugh yesterday.

Really I didn't get all of this. I just wanted to make everyone laugh today and I was thinking of time Christmas I had in Hawaii and how they turned the 12 days into a Hawaiian song. So I decided to make a Tahitian one for us today.

Yes I can see how this one would happen. But really we don't celebrate 12 days of Christmas and I am not even sure how it ever came about. But it was funny to write and get a good laugh out of this one. I had a good time here on the islands and we had a lot of good music, dancing and laughing. But we can't forget all the food too.

@rebelann Oh no then you are missing out on the other 4. I was given 9 of them to paddle my canoe. How lucky could a girl be to receive such a wonderful gift on the 9th day of Christmas. Man when I got this I had to run to the lagoon and have them take me on an island tour. I made them paddle for hours so I could see all the muscles and sweat coming off them. Oh what a site that one was.

Yes I'll be ready for 2016 and looks like we'll be spending it here. Unless a miracles arrives this coming week we still have a lot of work to finish up. We are trying to shoot for the 7th or 8th to finish up here and go home.
I thought people would like a bit of Tahitian humor today.

Not sure many people could live through this one. It was just funny to think of this and write it. I had a good laugh writing it all and sharing it here. I am so happy you found this one funny and you laughed at the images of all this.

Yah well I guess if I did get all of this it would of been off to detox for sure. But instead it is up early and preparing to leave to the office to go and work on some more hard drive recoveries. No more fun for a few more days. Will need to go and get busy again today so hopefully we can finish up here soon and go home.

@fishtiger58 Yes it did. We went swimming on the sand bar and came in. Dinner didn't take too long to cook this night and I did it myself. Took me around 2 hours to do it all. Only because it took that long to heat up the smoked turkey through and through so there was no need to spend hours cooking a raw one. We got a smoked one and it was delicious. We had the major big bang blow out with 60 people on Christmas Eve. So yesterday was just the family I am staying with and the 4 of us staying here while we are working. So it was nice and a lot of fun. Quiet and relaxing and everyone had a great dinner last night. I made the smoked turkey, rice and stale bread stuffing, Tahitian potatoes, some broccoli, and a gravy for all of this. That was it and everyone loved it and had more than enough to eat. It was great and a wonderful relaxing day for all of us here.

@celticeagle Yum that one does sound good. I like the Tahitian drink we have here on the islands it is made from pineapple rum and it is very delicious. We also have some rum pineapple chunks and slices and these are very good too. I use to get them all the time but I haven't bought any in a while.

Thank you so much. I left you a Christmas message on another post I had written. I think you'll love this one -
Merry Christmas and I'm so happy you have a lot of films to watch today. it is always fun to get a lot of films to watch.
For the next few days we need to put aside all the complaints, blocking, and pointing fingers. We should try and remember this is the season to spread happiness...

@TiarasOceanView I had a wonderful time last night with the family we are staying with. There was a lot of music and fun this night. I thought of this one when they were joking around and playing around last night. I thought it would be funny to add it here today.

@poehere I would have loved to give it a try a few days ago - but glad the day is over, so I shall just enjoy all of you having fun with the 12 days - Maybe we should do a 12 days AFTER Christmas one - Returning gifts, overeating, laziness, travel, build up to New Year. That could be interesting

@PainsOnSlate Thank you so much. I think one person actually thought I was going to detox after all of this. He wanted to make a joke of it then decided against it when he said I had wrote about going to detox after all this drinking.

Thank you so much. It was fun to write and I hope a lot of people got a good laugh out of this one. I know it will never be made into a song that will hit the charts like the original 12 days of Christmas did way back then but it ws funny no matter what.
You too have a wonderful new year and I wish you and your family a year filled with happiness.
