Sad Boxing Day

I am sorry I have not been around yesterday.
We have spend all the day in Italy, celebrating Christmas with my family. It has been a wonderful Christmas.
This morning, my next-door neighbor, came out of his out to wish out Happy Holidays and I received very sad news.
The cute gray kitten of another neighbor, has been killed by a car the day of Christmas.
I loved that sweet furry girl, she was very shy, I cannot believe she crossed the road.
Why do people drive like crazy on those secondary roads?
I will miss my little furry friend.
This is the only photo I have, it's a bit blurred, but, as I said she was very shy.
Sorry for the bad news, but I had to share with you.

We don't have Boing Day in the US which is really sad lol I have no plans though I am just relaxing.

@LadyDuck I really think it is a good idea since most of us are quite frantic for days before. Sorry about the little kitty, I should have said that on the last post.

Sorry to hear about the cat, sad news.
I guess I'll just be here online, was going to go out into town however it just started to rain yet again.

We don't have Boxing day traditions in the US. For me it will be another day, but also a relaxing one after the race to get the pillows finished in time for Christmas. I still need to get over to my daughter's and give out presents. They spent the day with her husband's mother.
It is sad that precious cat is gone. She is so cute in the picture.

It is surprising just how fond we can become of animals even if they are not our own. The same happened to one of my neighbour's cats last year and I missed the fact that she often came wandering into my house trying to scrounge tuna from me.

@ivyparkgirl I agree, I cannot stand people who do not respect animals. They have sentiments, just like humans.

how sad! I always start to flip out when I see an animal near a road, sometimes they can shoot out at the last second and I really dont want to hit one.

We don't celebrate that day here in the US, in fact I forgot all about it until I read something on Marie's post. I may go where I work looking for a coat on sale as my zipper is breaking more each day. I also need to check my schedule. I should go soon, but not in the mood for shopping. At least the store isn't too busy today, per my husband who worked early.

@LadyDuck Yes, I remember reading about it from last year even though I don't really remember what it was. If you remind me, I still won't remember after today.
the stores weren't overly busy when I went in today and I did find myself a new coat and a nice sweater. I'm waiting for my daughter to come home so I can show her and see what she thinks about my shopping alone.

@LadyDuck That's so sad. I will never understand why people seem to leave their brains at home when they get behind the wheel of a car. I am always on the lookout for animals. It would break my heart if I ran over one. I am sorry for your loss.

I am sorry that the little kitty was hit, that's sad as I remember reading discussions from you about her and I know that you enjoyed seeing her.
Hopefully today is a better day for you. We are slowly going back to our regular activities, I have to work 5 hours today. Our son, girlfriend and dog will be here this afternoon. They are spending the night here. It is like we didn't get enough of each other yesterday, and my husband is taking them to a football game in Detroit tomorrow.
