The key to happiness

December 26, 2015 10:55am CST
Expectations can give and take away your happiness. A person who doesnt expect anything out of everything will find happiness in the smallest of the things . So if you ask me the key to happiness it is hidden under the boulder of expectation. Break the boulder and unlock the door of happiness !

What a very profound thought and very true. Expect nothing and take everything as the gift that it is, it is the key to happiness.

It is impossible to have zero expectations as even babies demand attention. It is our basic nature. What we can do is we can make expectations reasonable or even learn to give more to others than to expect from others. It ultimately gives more satisfaction and a beautiful purpose to our lives.

Yes ! Expectating is inevitable ! That is where maturity playa a role in. Its lack of maturity in babies that make them demand attention. Its out of experiences that we mature and we must learn while maturing when and what to expect ! As you said give without expecting anything un return ! Will take you a long way!

I think that happiness is taking every little pleasure that one can find in a day.

Suraj, correctly said. Sometimes, due to higher expectation, we will not be happy for what we achieved.
