Childhood memories

It has been a long time since I have posted anything on mylot. I decided it is high time I started again.
I'm traveling at present. I am staying with my brother's family like in old times. I remember as children, we would go to our grandparents' home for the summer vacation. All our cousins would also be there with their families. We would play together and have loads of fun. Three of us had long, thick hair. My aunts, who were about 10 to 12 years older, would practice their skills at hair braiding on us and we would be willing guineapigs because they would decorate our braids with jasmines and other flowers.
Now both myself and my brother have grown up children, some of whom have their own children. Yet, I remember vividly some incidents which are etched deeply on the memory and sometimes make me feel very nostalgic indeed.
I'm sure all of you would have some such memories. I would love to hear about them.

My hair has been cut short since. So no more braids for me. But yes. It will be nice to hear about other people's memories. What about you? Do you have some memories to share?

When you speak about hair braiding.. all I remember is my thick long hair which had to be braided everyday before school. My mom would find it hard to hold the hair and braid it..she would keep insisting that I cut my hair .. I refused to have it cut until I had to take care of it on my own.
