Bad Day

United States
December 26, 2015 1:20pm CST
I am at the point today that for the next two hours before work I just want to curl in a ball and cry. I made bad decisions as a teenager and ended up having a baby at 16. I am gonna be 22 and I try my best as a single parent living on my own with her. Working any possible chance I get to make ends meet. It never seems to be enough. I'm behind in all my bills to the point that I am going to loose everything. I hate feeling this way because I am an amazing person and help everyone out. I never ask anyone for help so why do me and my daughter suffer because of the poor wages and high cost of living.

I know it isn't easy being a single mom. I had my daughter not quite 2 months after my 18th birthday. I raised her on my own and it was not always easy. What I did find out is after gong back to school and working hard at my job and educations I was able to gain more income and finally was able to make an easier life for the two of us. This is hard especially when you don't have a lot of job skills you are forced to take very low paying jobs and it seems like thee is no end to all of this.

@Marcyaz Yes it wasn't easy working all day, running in and out, finding night time care, classes, studying and all the other stuff involved. But at work I had a tutor in English and it make it so much easier to do all of this. I always was able to get excellent grades but it did take a lot of work to do this one.

@poehere It does take a lot of time and energy and it was good you had a tutor.

I know the type of help available is different from state to state, so I am not able to give good advice for your location. What type of jobs do you find for you? Some types of jobs are paid for by employers.

Do you have no family that can help you out? Maybe you could go back to school and get your degree then you could hopefully find a better paying job and make life better for not only your daughter but yourself.

I am sorry things are so difficult for you right now. It sound like you are working hard. Please look for some help and be willing to accept the help you need to get on your feet. Take care of you so you can take care of your daughter.
