Kitchen Aid sent me a 'thank you' note ....

....well, a thank you e-mail actually, but it that counts!
My husband got me the Kitchen Aid Spiralizer, which I really really wanted! I registered it on the KA website and about an hour later I got an e-mail thanking me for my purchase.
Thank You are two words that seem pretty foreign to many people so when the unexpectd thank you comes along I like to acknowledge it!
When we moved to Tennessee we were due for a new car so off to the local Chevy dealer we went - it was aptly named "Volunteer Chevy"! I wanted a black Trailblazer and that's what we got. It had more options than we wanted or needed but the color sold it.
About a week later we received a package in the mail. It was a metal container full of chocolate chip cookies - a 'Thank You' from Volunteer Chevy! What a nice surprise that was. Since then we have purchased 4 more Chevy vehicles from different dealerships and none of them sent us cookies....
A simple "Thank You", two words often not said.......

I get used to the term "thank you" whenever i charge to my credit card.
I have set the sms notification so that I receive an sms whenever I charge to credit card.
This is a just-in-case measure so that I will know immediately if there is any unauthorized use.
The notification always start with "Thank you for charging $x.xx to your credit card ending with 0000"

I think gifts are in the past, unless you're maybe buying a 100,000 car.

Yes, I think these two little words are very powerful, they cheer up a person, and makes the person feel appreciated.
I always remember when my ex-boss asked us to do something, he always asked with "can you please help me...." even though it was our responsibility, and he always said "thank you" to us. These are just simple words, but it made us feel appreciated and not just his "machines".
When it comes to marketing, I think these two little words are magical as well.
Good that you got the Kitchen Aid Spiralizer that you love so much!

@AbbyGreenhill Yes, I guess he has passed it down and it became the culture of the office. Hence in the office, we always say "please" and "thank you" to others. I think it makes everyone work happily and willingly as well.

Yes, they are disappearing and the younger generation, a lot of them, never use those words. That gets me...
