Winter is coming

We have a winter weather advisory from 6pm tomorrow to 10am tuesday. We're expecting rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow. I hope to god that it will wait til I get home from work to start as I don't get out til 8pm and then Tuesday morning I don't go in until 1130 so i'll be okay then. If your in this storm path also please stay safe if you do have to travel. I'm only 5mins from work but still don't like driving in it. I'm hoping we won't get as much as their saying. Supposed to be warm still in the 40's so we may not, only time will tell.

I know, we have the same warning up. Our Boxing Day stat we moved to Monday, so I have to work my full shift the day before the stat and the day after the stat in order to qualify for the additional pay on that day. I'm hoping that I'll be able to do it, but like you said, time will tell. I have a long drive from out in the country to go to work, and I don't drive on ice.

That sounds like a terrible kind of weather for work. I wonder if the companies will allow employees to come in a bit late due to the stormy weather.

All we are getting from this storm is rain, rain and more rain along with very cold temps but not cold enough for snow. Yesterday, our temp dropped from 68 degrees to 52 degrees in an hour.
