Why does MyLot pay people who use? / myLot

I wonder, MyLot account is like twitter and facebook, but why is this different?? I think MyLot will suffer a financial loss, right? Any explanation?

Any company will not suffer losses with growth and good management. Facebook was different because it didn't pay people to contribute to the site but kept the money for itself. Every company I suppose has a way to give back. It varies however in how and how much!
