Harsher punishment for traffic offenders

Yes, I believe this is appropriate these days. Due to the increasing number of accidents and mishaps happening on the road, mostly because of driver disobedience, I think our government should impose stricter rules and harsher punishments to traffic offenders.
May it be beating the red light, overspeeding, counterflowing, or even jaywalking, offenders should face more than just community work or paying a small fee.
Also, enforcers should be more vigilant in catching these offenders.
What do you guys think?

Exactly! And what better way to do this than to have our enforcers do their job. Here in Manila, enforcers are just there in the streets and just wave at you like greeters inside a grocery store. I guess corruption is way too deep here and that it's gonna need a major overhaul to fix our broken traffic system.

sometimes, while standing on traffic light and saw that many vehicles are not following traffic rule then i also feel the same.
