Arizona: Snow?

This is a picture of me, on the left with a friend, in Arizona. She and her husband, who was my husband's cousin, had driven to Las Vegas to pick us up. Las Vegas was a FREE trip again for me and my husband, thanks to the company I worked for. We stayed at the LUXOR Resort Hotel on that trip.
So, they volunteered to come and get us and take us to Phoenix, where they lived, for a few days. We drove over the Hoover Dam and into the mountains and stopped here for something to eat.
That is SNOW on the ground. Coming down through the mountains, we could actually see it snowing off in the distance. It was a beautiful drive and while we were in Arizona, we got to go to Old Tucson with these friends, too. What a beautiful area that is!
After a few days with them, we flew home from Phoenix. We were able to arrange our airplane tickets to do that. We actually got two vacations back to back that way. One in Las Vegas and one in Phoenix. And the company paid for the airfare.
I wasn't aware that it snowed in Arizona until that trip, but it snows in the mountains.
Have you ever been to Las Vegas, or Phoenix, Arizona?

I am hoping to put up several more photos. I have a lot of photos from my trips but not sure how to put them on MyLot. They are just photos taken with a camera. I might be able to get them on a disc and then put them in my computer and THEN be able to post them here. I will have to try to figure that out.

@TiarasOceanView I should have plenty of time this winter to figure it out. My 14 year old grandson should be able to help me, I hope.

It was a really nice trip. I'd love to go again some day but doubt that I ever will. I guess you see plenty of snow in Canada.

@IreneVincent we have had a grand total of 1 cm this winter, which fell last night. It has been unusually warm (4 or 5 degrees Celsius higher than the seasonal norm), due to El-Ninio. Here in Niagara Falls we get a lot less than Buffalo NY, which is about 40 km to the south of us.

Sounds like our weather here in Virginia. It's supposed to be warm all week, but I did see a weather "warning" tonight about flooding in MY county. So, I'm expecting a lot of rain tomorrow. I was planning to run a couple more errands tomorrow but that may have to wait.

It looks as if you had a great time there in Arizona. So was it January time?

That was a great extended vacation and all for free, practically. The blessings of working fo good company and of having great friends.
I have never been to those places but would love to visit if I could. Maybe one day?
However, it is snowing like crazy and so I do not have to go anywhere to see snow as I see plenty just by looking out my window. I guess I can view that as a free vacation from God.

Yes, I would imagine that you would see plenty of snow in Canada. That's a good idea. Pretend you are on a free vacation and enjoy the snow.
