Hi guys, have you ever bought furniture in an online shop? I've been interested in shopping in WAL-MART and IKEA. Which one is better? Any reason?

@akpdea Ikea can be cheap.Well they are in the UK although it been a few years since I went to one.

I like Ikea but never thought of shopping online at ikea. Walmart ower Adsa in the Uk and I didn't shop there but I did shop at Walmart when I was over there. I still get email from Walmart but I don't think they ship to the UK and it would also be very costly in to so.

@kevin1877uk everyone told me that every order will be shipped freely without giving any payment,.. I'm Indonesia, it's far from UK, and dramatically the cost will be so 'weird' :O

I prefer to furniture shop in stores so I could feel the fabric, see the quality, test the furniture out. If I purchase online, since the item will be large - I think it may be more of a hassle to return if I am not satisfied with the purchase.

You're right, local ones must be East to be returned but here in Indonesia, most of the furniture are expensive :(

If you're going to buy furniture and electronics, better buy on the physical stores to check the items physically. There's a possibility that what you had ordered online might be defective in some ways and it's not worth your time and money anymore. Think and act wisely because it's your hard-earned money which you will expend.

@akpdea For clothes, it's somewhat acceptable. But I've heard a news before that a woman which bought a dress from an online store got pissed off because the dress doesn't fit to her. The problem is, the model who wore the dress is slim and sexy while the buyer is somewhat chubby that's why the dress doesn't fit hehe
