~I Cannot Imagine Always Being The Jokester~

My husband is usually really funny. He is always making jokes and he is the life of any party, he loves making others laugh. Just like here on MyLot we have @UncleJoe who we just "expect" to be funny and to have a great punch line at the end of his discussions. Well, last night my husband was in a bad mood. All the stress of everything was getting to him. Everyone here was taken aback because he's always so happy and joking. Of course he has the right to have an "off" day. It's just no one is used to the serious side of him. Can you imagine ALWAYS being the one to make others laugh or smile? That is a lot of responsibility for one person!

I don't think I want to be that person. There is some people who character is just that. They are always fun loving and happy and good to be around. But like you said people have off days and this can happen. People shouldn't relay on or come to expect a person to be upbeat and joking around all the time. They need a day off now and then.

@poehere I wouldn't want to be that person either. Too much to live up to! Yeah he was having an off day and nobody liked it very much. Exactly, everyone has a day where they are not themselves and yesterday was my husbands.

@LovingMyBabies This is fine and we are all entitled to our off days. People just need to realize this and let us have them. When they are over we are back to ourselves again and life goes on.

That is a big responsibility when they are relying on you to make everyone laugh. I wouldn't want that job!
