I received two gift cards worth $25.00 each from my niece and nephew for Christmas. I went online and ordered through their website the same day I received the cards.
I had a hard time deciding exactly what I wanted, but in the end I made up my mind and clicked through to pay and submit the order. I just received the goods today after ordering it on December 25th.
That's great, four days (not counting the 25th) to package and ship? Wonderful. Only problem is I didn't get the right stuff. I somehow received the stuff that was in my cart PRIOR.
I don't know how, but I DO KNOW that I had changed it. Am I going to send the wrong items back? No. I am not sure it's worth the hassle. I paid only $5.00 in overage from the gift cards and so I really can not complain. I did WANT this stuff, but I kinda wanted the stuff I swapped it out for more.
Oh well I guess I'll just have to find the Irish fairytales book on amazon, atleast I know THEY will get their orders right!

At least you hope they do. I had a friend who ordered my book on Amazon and got the wrong book, called, and sent it back and they sent out another book - same one they sent the last time. She got a refund and went and ordered it from a Christian book store. So as much as I love Amazon, and they have never messed up one of my orders, they aren't perfect either.

Ouch! I'd hate to have to go through that. Did she buy the book directly from amazon or was it one of amazon's sellers? I've never had a problem with amazon, and I hope I never do.

@just4him Ah okay I understand a bit more. I know there are a lot of books to choose from on the site. It would stand to reason that any given title may have atleast two variants. I am sure it was really annoying for her to have to go through the hassle only to cancel altogether and wait some more for the right book to arrive.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'm thinking it was Amazon. She chose my book, not someone else's with the same title.

I do the majority of my online shopping on amazon anyway. FIrst time I have ever received the wrong items before. I guess you could chalk it up to Christmas time rush.

I would rather return the items that were not ordered. That is easily a pet peeve. Are you Irish?

Irish! (get it, "Irish" "I wish" ... ahh I amuse msyelf). I am Irish but way way back. I am not sure how Irish I am either as I could have Irish roots on both sides of the family.
A friend once told me (whilst conversing on the phone) that I had a slight Scottish way of speaking. I suppose i do? I've always considered myself country!
