Check Engine Light

My engine light has been on for quite some time. I know I need to do something about it. So tonight when I took my son to work, not only was it on, it was blinking, and both of us went into a panic mode, wondering if the car was going to die on me and he wouldn't be able to get to work without walking, and now that it's definitely winter out there, walking isn't really an option.
.
So I took it over to Auto Zone and had them check it for me. Good news - the car isn't going to die on me. However, it does need a tune-up. Yeah, I knew that. It is on my agenda to take care of even before I get a computer.
My son has off tomorrow, so I'm going to take it to see if I can get it tuned up tomorrow or make an appointment to get it taken care of next week. I know it needs to be done as soon as possible.
So between a dead computer, a laptop that works when it wants to and my car, I'm doing pretty good. 
At least I have the funds to take care of it.

I'm going to see if I can get it done tomorrow. I know it's the last day of the year and shops might not be open for long and might not have availability, so if I have to wait a few days, so be it. It's waited this long. A few more days won't hurt, especially since the guy said the car won't die on me.

@Jessicalynnt It's still on even after the tuneup. My son says it could be anything including the radiator that has a very slow leak, but he couldn't find it.

its good that it not create problem while you took back your child,so i am glad that you reached home and your car not down you in between road,so do service of it as soon as possible because it create problem when we need it most..

my day yesterday was a lzy day. I still have stuffy nose and I always sneeze. the weather here makes us all lazy, but I think this is good because today is the last day of the year. Tomorrow, we should all be alive, awake, alert, and enthusiastic.

@just4him true. it is so gloomy here. it drizzles every now and then. our laundrywoman hang our clothes at the garage, and I hope they will get dry soon with the cool wind blowing.

Well glad it's nothing serious and you can hopefully get it fixed sooner than later. What a way to welcome 2016 but atleast it's just minor issues
