Not The Best End Of The Year

I did a stupid thing this morning.
While I was going downstairs to make my first coffee, I have missed the last step and I have hit my right knee very hard.
Now it hurts, I can bend it, but it hurts when I put my weight on my right leg.
My husband wanted to rush me to the ER, but this is not how I want to spend the end of the year, it's no way either that I go tomorrow, first day of the year.
I Google searched, I put ice on the knee and I am resting my leg. I hope the problem will auto-fix in a couple of days.
The table is dressed, the dinner is ready, there is no reason not to celebrate.
Are you ready to say farewell to the year 2015?

I sure hope you didn't do permanent damage to your knee. The older I get the more damaging a fall can be. We are doing nothing for New Years I leave that to the youngsters. I have seen my share of New Years. I probably won't even be awake at midnight lol.

From someone who suffers from knee pain I hope the ice helps. Don't let it go too long without having it looked at if it continues to hurt. Happy New Year Anna

I cannot think of a worse time to bang your knew than in the morning on your way for your first coffee because it would slow you down and delay the coffee.
If you decide to leave things until later due to having a bruised knee, would that qualify as a lame excuse?

@LadyDuck probably sprained or ligament wound - doesn't sound broken

@arthurchappell No, it's surely not broken, I have experienced a broken elbow and I know how it is painful. I think it's sprained .

Oh my, knee pain from something like that can last a long time. I hope you are just brused and nothing more serious. Your husband will have to help out more with your guests.

@AbbyGreenhill Cleaning the kitchen is not something that my husband can do. It makes a mess when he tries to help and clean nothing.

@LadyDuck My husband likes to help but he's not the best when it comes to cleaning the kitchen after.

I am only two hours from saying goodbye to 2015. But this has been a wonderful year. The end could not be any better. I hope 2016 will be better still
I do hope that your pain subsides down and you have many great days in the year ahead.

@vandana7 Happy New Year to you too dear Vandana. Yesterday and today, I spent almost all of my time with the new born. And I have been a little occupied with some work from my client too. Year end, he gets too much traffic on his website so that needs special attention.

Oh no my Dear, just baby that knee as much as you can. Maybe even bandage it up with an Ace bandage if you are wearing slack. Hope it will get better soon.
I am probably sleeping when the New Year rolls in.Happy New Year to you and yours.

@nanette64 Thank you Nanette, I put a stretch wrap, this helps and the knee hurts less.

@LadyDuck Another thing you could do is use a stretch wrap for around the knee. Not too tight but enough to help lend support for the tendons that wrap around the knee.
