Happy New Year to the Finest People! :)

No doubt everybody is going to start a discussion here on myLot wishing everybody else a Happy New Year! But I just have to say this because … in the USA we brought in the new year in several major cities – most importantly, New York City, the location of the 9/11 tragedy several years ago. Once heard a statement in a movie made about the American spirit. The lady said (might not be an exact quote): “Americans are a hearty race”. { Sophia Loren movie: “Arabesque” (1966). } Thought that was such a lovely compliment, and were I were to narrow it down or do a contrast and compare, I would have to say that out of all the Americans, the New Yorkers are the heartiest of them all! Shout out from Austin, Texas (my current residence) to my people in the Big Apple - New York, New York – especially, New York's finest – the N.Y.P.D. Holler! (MFN)
