Does Anyone Use A Chromebook?

For as long as I can remember, I have always been a Windows user for computers. When I went to college, I learned how to use a Macintosh for my Business English in Accounting on a Masters Degree. In recent times, I found myself unable to use my Windows computer so I began to wonder if a Chromebook would serve simple purposes while on business trips.
I, actually, found that the Chromebook is not that much different than from using Windows. Some functions that normally would work in Windows simply won't do on a Chromebook but you can get to the most basic functions.
It doesn't use a hard drive like Windows or Apple but it will allow you to save files. They come with a webcam if you like to use those as well. Mine doesn't give that great of pixels for the pictures so I don't use it for that. However, it will work when you want to do a video chat. That I love for clients who can't travel tome or vice versa.
Since you can't really install programs, it still gives you the option to go to the Chrome store and install addon applications so it's more or less the same. Also, the lack of hard drive as a typical Windows machine allows the Chromebook to shut down and boot up rapidly.
I think they work best for students and for the older generations who just need a machine for lighter uses.
I won't walk away from a Windows computer but I certainly do like a lot my Chromebook!
Do you have one? How do you like it?

The Chromebook can still get something but it's way harder to come through because the protection is integrated into the operating system. As long as it continues to get the updates properly then you'll be fine. I like mine. I've had it for less than a year.

I have to say that I have learned a lot about the chrome book that I didn't know about before. I don't use one, no. I have always been a windows users, except for in school when I learned on a mac. I do have an Iphone but I realize that is completely different.

I would not want to use an iPhone but know plenty of people who do. I like Android better. It's simpler. Are you open to trying new things and, thus, trying out a Chromebook?

@CrossingBorders I used to own android devices. They are not bad but I do love the Iphone now. I don't think I'll go back. I am open to trying a lot of technologies but am very picky at the same time. I think my next electronic purchase will be a mac though.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I hardly have any experience with a Mac so I don't know if I were to ever try it. I'm pretty loyal to Android.

I don't have one. I've always used Apple from Ibooks to now MacBooks. But I've heard so much about it.
