Learning pentatonic flute is recommended for grade 1 students for Waldorf education. Before teaching my son, I need to learn it myself first.
I have played with it for some time, but I am not very familiar with the notes yet. So I will need to practice more in these few days.
Luckily lesson one is quite simple, and I already learned how to play the song - Hot Cross Buns.
I am quite excited to start our homeschooling journey, and learning something new as a teacher and a student as well.
What musical instruments do you like? Do you like to play flute or recorder?

Have never tried either. I only played the piano as an instrument and wasn't very good at it. In fact the piano still sits in our kitchen, lol.

I learned piano when I was young too, it's always my favorite musical instrument. The piano sits in my 'childhood room' in my parents' house. I only get to play it for awhile when I go back.
I wish to buy a piano soon, so I can re-learn and practice. Hopefully this wish can happen soon, as I have wished for years, still waiting for enough money to buy the piano. ![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

@infatuatedbby I always take the opportunity to play piano when I visit my friend's house whenever there's a piano. There's a piano in my cousin-in-law's house, and it's the same condition as yours - with keys and others on it, so I can't get to play it. ![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

@kaka135 We have a big antique old and heavy piano. No one plays and it's more of storage lol. We place our keys, mail, junk on the piano now.... ![](/Content/images/emotes/rasp.gif)

Yes, I think flute is considered as wind instrument. I just searched for it, I think it's called nose flute.
Is this the one you mentioned?

Thanks for your suggestion. We do not intend to send him to music school yet, unless he requests for it later. I think I can still handle the flute, as I know how to play the soprano recorder, it just takes some time to be familiar with the pentatonic notes.
I learned how to play piano as well, so I am fine with reading the notes. I can still teach them the beginning level. Of course, if they want to learn more advanced, then we will need to consider getting them a professional teacher. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)
