39 inches of rain per year On average Plymouth, UK get almost 39 inches of rain per year although I believe that is way more this autumn/winter. 39 inches of rain is about 7 inches more than Manchester, UK which gets an average of 32 inches of rain. So now I know that Plymouth can and often is wet, maybe too wet for me. Maybe I need to move to Manchester, at least it 7 inches of rain less lol. How much rain do you have per year, do you know?

Further north is bad this winter with all the rain. That what I'm saying it seems we've had more rain the autumn/winter so far.

Wow that's a lot of rain. I really doubt we get anywhere near that. We tend to get droughts more then anything

I think we've had way more that that so far this autumn/winter because from the beginning of November it's rained more or less every day.

I have just read we receive about 30.6 inches per year to me it seems a lot, to others not so much. You might think about moving then if it rains so much where you are.

I guess sometimes we don't see the rain or take notice of it. It's only when you look at the data and see the information you think wow that lot of rain. I think here we are just having a really wet winter.

@kevin1877uk I just looked this up and its 55 inches per year. It sure feels like more since it just stopped raining after two whole weeks! Maybe I am seeing the data from a year of drought :)

Think by averaging the two closest to us on the met office data, our average rainfall is around 33". Wouldn't go moving here though on that account as much of our village was flooded only days ago.

I think its just been a very wet autumn/winter and he rain we are having/had isn't normal. It still very mild for the time of year, will we get a cold winter? All this week it meant to be 50+ during the day and about 43/45 at night.

@kevin1877uk Yeah, weather here has definitely been weird this year. We've had a day when it snows, then the next day it's up around 10 deg C, which isn't exactly normal for us at this time of year.

Nonsense Kevin. These are clearly false figures concocted by Plymouth council in order to lay claim to our rightful title of Britain's Wettest City.

LOL I don't think Plymouth is the wettest, Argyllshire 2274.9mm of rain a year.
Find out how much rain we get in the UK and where gets the most rainfall.
