Aol is probably not the best for email providers

I have had the address for years though. Actually the same time that I joined mylot way back whenever. Some places you register your email address with online will tell you that they don't accept an AOL email address as point of contact. Why? Things don't always get received. It doesn't matter how high you have your spam filter set, or how low even. I received the notification that I placed my barnes and noble order in my inbox. The shipping notifies? All went to spam. No, I didn't check if they were sent via a different email address. I imagine the email would still have the host even if the beginning part was different. WHy did they get directed to two different places? Oh well. I received all of my order, in separate shipments. The Irish Fairy and Folk Tales book came today. I'm glad I check spam periodically or I would have never caught the notify. I am not complaining, just observing. It's my choice to keep using aol as my email provider after all. No use in complaining about something I could very well change.

I don't know if they still offer internet. I don't use them for internet just for email. THey are still up as a search engine and news feed as well as email and instant message. I've had several different email hosts over the years.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don't either if the do or don't. I'd thought they had gone all together, at least you still have your email account with them. I have gmail but don't really use it.

@kevin1877uk I think everyone has a gmail account now. If I am not mistaken you have to have one to access things like a youtube account. I have one but I never use it.

I don't know about lost emails because I haven't used AOL in basically eons. The best email service I ever had was when I had e-garfield but they don't offer it anymore.

I have never heard of that one. I guess it was named after the cartoon character?

I had a problem with AOL many years ago and went to Yahoo. They have a nice filtering system and it is free.

I've had troule getting emails in the past. Some earning sites won't let you use aol as a platform for email .
