walking and learning

Back last summer I would walk every day with my friend Beckey. We loved it, I lost a lot of weight and I felt so much better health wise.
Well when the weather started getting colder we just stopped. We stopped talking about it, and it just went out of our minds. But the other day I was talking to Beckey and I told her that I wanted to start walking again. No matter what, I am going to start walking. I know it will be harder because it is colder, but I know I can do it if I just get bundled up.
But also one thing that I really enjoyed about walking with Beckey is that she would teach me sign language. Beckey is deaf for her whole life. We communicate by her reading my lips, which is great. but I thought I would be cool to learn sign language. So over the summer she slowly but surely taught be a few words everyday.
Well because my memory is super bad, it is a challenge. I am hoping that I haven't forgotten it all when we pick it back up tomorrow when we start walking again.
How many languages can you speak?

That is wonderful you're able to learn sign language their your friend, Beckey! I know what you mean when it's cold and I get lazy to exercise too, but I am going to try!
I only know 2 languages (English and Vietnamese) however, I did take Spanish for 3 years but basically lost most of the language because I don't use it often.

I am not a fan of walking in the winter but a gym membership is out of the question since I have hardly any money coming in these days. Youtube is great I found some good cardio exercises and Zumba there but regardless I still want to walk more.

@T_gray Well I guess we sort of could but we would pretty much just be circling the mall. I live near a walking park although now its snowy and icy in there so my only option is the road/sidewalks.

@WorkAtHomeGal That's all we do is circle the mall, but it's a decent size. It takes us an hour to go around 4 times. It works and its much warmer.

Sign language is a very special language and I love to learn it. It's make me happy knowing that I could understand someone without the use of words. I can speak English, Tagalog (I'm from philippines and a little greek because I'm currently working here. I'd love to learn other european languages but tutors are quite expensive. I'm taking chinese lessons now. I hope it will be a success. I hope you could continue walking with Beckey

I am enjoying learning it. We actually started back up on my lessons today and I found that I forgot a lot more then I thought I did. But that's ok. I should be able to get it down again in no time. That's awesome that you are learning Chinese. I think that would be great to learn

I would love to learn sign language and did learn the alphabet and a few quick expressions a few years ago. Now, I can't remember much of them, so I need a refresher course. There is a place here in my county, that offers instructions on several different languages at a reasonable cost. I've been thinking about signing up for Spanish, but haven't done it yet. I know quite a bit of Spanish but not enough to really communicate intelligently.

You can learn the alphabet on youtube. I did that as a refresher myself. Its really fun. They do things like that here to where you can sign up for different languages, but I am not sure the cost, nor do I think I am smart enough to do it. I am having a hard enough time with my friend. and she is being really patient with me.

I only know English sadly. I love walking alone or with friends - I hate the Winter weather as I can't walk in such miserable wet and cold conditions

I always like exercise mostly walking ,swimming, cycling and yoga .These are the most popular as i think . Doing daily these exercises we can keep fit our health according to season .In winter it is advised to heart patient, asthamatic ,joint pain people, backeche people to do light exercise in routine.
