MY VACUUM CLEANER PACKED UP!!!!!!

Happy New Year to you all! I was happily vacuuming my home during the festive season when out of nowhere it stopped working. I checked everything. Thankfully I had just finished vacuuming, so I put the vaccum cleaner away and that was that. I said to my husband, I need a new vaccum cleaner like, now!!!!!!! Then it suddenly dawned on me. What did we do before we had vacuum cleaners? Was there ever a time that we didn't have vacuum cleaners? Yes, we used a broom. Now I do appreciate that many of you live in houses etc but I live in a flat/apartment. Our lounge has laminated flooring. So, the next day I said to my husband, I need a broom like, now!!!! He laughed. Anyway he went out and bought me a broom with matching pan to collect the dust etc. I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed sweeping! It took me right back to when I was a child in the 70's watching my mum sweep and do the housework. I found it therapeutic and my heart rate went right up, it felt like a workout! Anyway my point is that in some countries they do not have the privilege of electricity let alone a vacuum cleaner. I will get one eventually but for now, I'm quite happy sweeping around the home and making the most of what I have.
