Foggy Morning

It is very cold outdoors, and foggy. The windshield on the truck had a thin layer of fog turned to frost.
It is "trash day" but in our little town I am fairly sure that it will not be picked up until the fog lifts and the driver can see.
I also seem to think it does not run until after the school bus.
Not sure if there will be a bus run, many neighboring towns are using this as a teacher work day. My daughter in law got the girls up and ready for school, then found there was none.
I need to get the rest of the trash out to the curb before it does run. My thermometer indicates that it is colder than twenty degrees, and I plan on walking down town. I need some eggs to make a birthday treat for hubby.
Hope you can see clearly as you start your day.

Because there was no wind it was not too bad. My doctor would like me to walk everyday, but if there had been wind I would have managed without going out.

If we had had wind it would have been bitter. I remind myself that I have warmer clothes than when I was a child and I walked that far to school.

It's cloudy here, no fog for a change. Fog doesn't stop any here, they speed thru it.

Yeah, they do here as well, then kick their headlights up to High so it will reflect back and do no good.

Only my feet felt cold, and my nose, but I had a scarf for that.

Amazingly this is the 2nd day in a row of no clouds, a beautiful sunny blue sky day.

I would take your fog and then you would have it all clear. I don't have to go out into it and could just set here and enjoy the fog.

I worry about those who have to drive the highways, but I did not have to drive. It does look neat when you enjoy it from indoors.

@GardenGerty ...I always worry about drivers after a rain that turns to snow because of the ice underneath. Black ice is so scary. Nice to enjoy from indoors to be sure.

In Mumbai,India very rarely we can see fog coming. But a week back in the morning there was a good layer of fog as I was finding difficult to drive my bike in that. Today the day was pleasant and the sun was shining bright.

I would love to see some snow here, just to see how it looks on the hills, etc.

I bet trash does run after busses, I imagine they don't want to deal with kids out near curbs

Or have to stop for those eight way flashing lights. Actually the kids all get picked up at a central location. I think there was no school, though due to seeing a kiddo out in his shirtsleeves while I was walking.

That is great, teaches that there are responsibilities that go with the privileges. My son had to provide rides for his sister as he drove right past her school after he left his.

@GardenGerty The thought occurred to me when I was pregnant with the twins and had a hard time leaning over the truck to even get the trash with my big pregnant belly

No, we went out in all weather when I drove. If we had a break down, there were spares on hand to send out, or other busses would flip over to pick up parts of the route.

I am not a fan of foggy weather. Driving in fog is a nightmare. We traveled for 3 hours in foggy weather. The trip usually takes about 2 hours to make. Not much fun in that.

No, if you have to make a trip you do not want fog.

No fog this morning on the way home, and no fog right now. I've not been outside but it seems it's a semi overcast morning.
