This little post was supposed to be here yesterday but I forgot to press the button Start Discussion. Sorry about that, but you can still read it, just pretend that today is yesterday.
You don't have to feel guilty today if you sleep a lot as you would just be
celebrating the "Festival of Sleep Day". This little festival is always on January 3rd and every year.
So if the day outside is pretty gloomy and cold or even worse: raining cats and dogs and even worse: snowing buckets of that white stuff, stay in bed,
close the curtains and sleep part of it. During that time, maybe a generous neighbor will shovel your snow.
If you do have such a good neighbor, don't forget to do the same for him on a day that he doesn't feel like getting up either. Maybe he didn't know about today, so that's why he is out there shoveling away.
Happy Sleep!

I would like to make this my festival of sleep day, but it is too late, I am awake, and dressed. I need to take the garbage out and to the curb. Maybe I will have a mini festival and take a nap later on. You may have been asleep and that is why you failed to hit the submit button.

I tend to wake up at the same time every day, but occasionally I'd like an excuse to stay in bed. Kindergarten nap time sounds good to me.

I seem to be having a 'festival of sleep day' a lot recently. Have seemed to get my days and nights mixed up. I do this alot. I like to be up when everyone else is snoozing.

I did not sleep well yesterday, but did sleep better last night. Maybe it was the festival creating magic for me. Sure feels good to sleep in late.

@ElizabethWallace It happens often, I didn't think I had anything particular on my mind.

@marlina Yikes. When that happens to me, it usually means I have something on my mind.

Last night, I couldn't sleep until 3:00 A.M. I had to read a lot before the sleep finally came to me.
Lucky I am reading an excellent book about American President Harry S. Truman

I have never heard of this festival but I wonder if you slept and that is the reason you did not press the post button!

How nice to have a special day just for sleeping. I'd vote for that.

I hadn't heard of Festival of Sleep Day. Rather interesting, although I cannot imagine sleeping all day unless I am sick. I usually have an afternoon nap every day
