New Year~New Perspective!

I wonder, how many, like me, are breathing a huge sigh of relief, at seeing the 'backend' of the Christmas/New Year holidays?
Much as we love to see friends and family, it can be a very stressful and disorienting time and murmuring, thank goodness it's over, and the pond of Life, returns to it's normal tranquility and routine, in your mind, is how it always affects me.
Maybe I am something of an 'oddball' in this, and others would prefer the sloshing around of the waves, to continue forever.
For me I couldn't cope with Life at that pace, my mind appreciates some kind of world order, calmness and direction.
Others' take a different view, often needing others around them to function, from day to day...but that is alien to me,...as @TheHorse in his discussion, about people who need others, constantly in their lives.
For me, it is that huge sigh of relief, along with a new, refreshed perspective, on a New year, whatever it may bring....if I can mould it a little ~That's great...if not ~That's Life !

I'm glad all the madness is over and back to regular routine again. I do enjoy family time and time with friends but glad I'm back to my regular schedule again

@Blondie2222 The brain will only cope with so much socialising, then the need for normality sets in

@bookbar I go along with you. I am happy to see the holidays come to an end. I enjoy them but only so long.

@hostessman I love the sea of calm that washes over me at that time... even if I'm up to my eyes in the aftermath...the pressure's gone...yippee!

Christmas is my favourite time of year but it exhausts me completely. If it happened every week I'd be living in an asylum!

@Poppylicious Well the rest of us seem to feel like that after just a couple of weeks, but I do think the older you get the less appreciative you are of Xmas and all it's pitfalls

I can relate to what you are saying friend.
For us here there really is not much change from one day to the next on holidays as any other day of the year..it is always strife and struggle.
Not complaining at all, just take comfort in the sameness of it all somehow.
No worries friend, there are many that feel the same.

@TiarasOceanView Whatever the 'it' may be, it is your normality and sort of governor of your life, as you know it, so disruption becomes an alien body, to mess it all up...

As much as I enjoy the holidays, it is nice to get back to the normal routine.

@Tampa_girl7 While my 'routine' is not set in stone, it is something familiar, that is a framework for day to day life... so I do welcome it's return

I am always glad to see the end of the holiday period. I get stressed if I don't get regular time on my own - can't stand being forever surrounded by people.
