Getting noticed on Twitter but not getting responses.

I'll have to study how I word my posts a bit. Last month I got over a thousand impressions but people aren't following through to the links. At least I got half the battle won. I thought I was shouting down an empty well. Does anyone else here promote their writing on Twitter and have success stories and tips that myLotters might find useful?

For me, engaging in such activity is so difficult as I don't have a lot of time to be given. I'm full-time employee and doing part-time stuffs online.

It can be time consuming. I to work full time and try to be a writer at the same time. I'm constantly trying to work smarter rather than harder. There is only so much of me to go around.

@koopharper That's very nice! So what is your full-time work? Are you an online writer?

I haven't really promoted my posts here via Twitter or Facebook. Maybe I should, starting this week. I've forgotten about that.

I do share my posts here on Twitter sometimes but I'm not sure to what end. We don't get comments from non mylotters and I don't know that we get any credit for the extra views. It certainly doesn't hurt the site.

I find twitter a weird place and find it really unattractive, but maybe i just don't understand it

To get responses & traffic from twitter to MyLot you should have a good follower base & you might even try using hashtags form the trending topics, that will give you even more exposure as people who are not following you but are viewing the trending topics will also be able to view the tweets.

I'm not too concerned about drawing Twitter attention to my myLot posts. I don't see that as gaining me much. I do try to use hashtags. They do make a difference. Biggest booster is adding photos to posts. I do that as well and it does help.
