How Can I get the Notifications of New posts?

I need a help! I want to get the notifications of all the new posts those have been posted by the members I am following to. Though, I do not have a long list of friends to follow, but I want to remain sorted. I must have a clue on the new posts to maintain a better connectivity. With my current level of understanding, I am only able to find new discussion of a certain member by using the search button. There is no other trigger which can eventually lead me to my connects' posts. As the number of followers are increasing, it is becoming difficult to remember and redirect. By any chance, is there a button in myLot which I am not aware of, can provide the list of new notifications?
