So there, I said it all in the title
I just want to take a break from Michael and Zane's story to wish everyone a blessed and prosperous New Year!
I have been away for a long time and the start of my work-year tells me that it's gonna be hell in the office for the first half of this year, but I really hope I can log in more and interact with the good people of MyLot
Sending good vibes to everyone for this whole year! Spread the love people!
P.S. I got a plant for a gift, it's an oregano. I wish my friends here who are good in gardening will give me some tips to keep this living thing alive.

@yalul070 Can stand drought? No it depends on the climate and whether the plant is already well established. If it is too hot it will need more water. If not too hot, just keep soil moist but not soggy. You need to check the soil for moistness and water only when it needs it. Make sure the water reaches the roots. When the plant is already well established, it will need little water but don't let it get too dry lest it die.

Oregano just needs light, a little regular watering and room enough for its roots in a well-drained soil. It will reward you with leaves with a delightful, spicy aroma which goes so well with Italian food, especially tomato and pasta.

Happy new year to you too! Your oregano plant looks cute. When its fully grown it will need constant pruning to maintain its nice shape and to prevent it from crawling everywhere in the garden. Its a very nice aromatic herb and it smells very refreshing. Its very nice to have in the garden.

Happy New Year to you, too! I'll bet that oregano smells amazing! I like using it, but I haven't actually tried growing any yet. I'm sure it would be much better than the bottled stuff I get. :-)
