Why we should stop littering

Of course we should not litter around. It shows how careless you are towards the nature. Yes, it may also lead to injuries to other people. I recently was travelling in a big boat with a group of strangers. One gentleman, looks wise he was an educated man. We all were served tea in plastic cups and that gentleman which I mentioned drank and threw it straight it in the river. It was such a pathetic display of carelessness. It should stop. Assume what would be the state of the living beings in the river which should bear all the waste thrown by us.
