We are expecting our oldest son and his girl friend for dinner tonight. But we have decided not to do the home cooked meal. Instead we are ordering some take out pizzas. It has been a while, so it will be very well appreciated by all of us. Cooking tonight or ordering take out foods?

I am cooking tonight, chicken and mac n cheese. I wish I could afford Chinese food because that's what I really want! Lol.

I find Chinese food quite expensive and it doesn't feel you up much. But I understand that you are having cravings.

You mean your husband can eat burgers late at night and still sleep good?

@marlina We never have take out .full stop. Sounds strange but he is so fussy and it is not worth paying the extra just for me. We do have the occasional KFC in the restaurant in town.

I do so love pizza, we are repainting our living room so last night we had hot dogs. I was way to tired to cook after washing the wall and then painting. We have one more coat and then done.

We broke down last week and had the usual not as good as Connecticutbor New York pizza. They blame it on the Florida water. Tonight my hubby is going to get dinner, because I am sick of cooking, not to mention exhausted! Enjoy your pizza, your son, and his girlfriend!

Then, if the meat doesn't thaw, you can use that excuse to order out.

I love eating pizza. And I love making it too. Been making my own pizza time and again. Tastes really good. I just have to ease up on the ingredients. I tend to go overboard and put too many ingredients on my pizza and then as a result the pizza can become a bit soggy, which I don't like. Still tastes great though.

Do you add a lot of cheese? To me, it is the best part of a pizza.

@marlina Yes I do. I try do add a mix of shredded cheeses like Mozarella, Monterey Jack, Cheddar and Parmesan. Sometimes instead of just Parmesan I also do Grana Padano, not sure how it is spelled.

If it is a family dinner, it is nice to have pizza. But if there is an important guest invited, then I think cooking will be a better option. As it shows how you pay attention to this dinner. A cooking dinner is always a friendly gesture.
