I am no longer a myLot Virgin

United States
January 7, 2016 6:41am CST
I have heard it discussed many times in the last few months, being blocked. There are many forms of blockage but being blocked by someone on myLot is new for me. I kept saying that I didn't think I was blocked by anyone, well, now I can no longer say that. I just found out yesterday evening that I am no longer virginal when it comes to being blocked here at myLot. There was a discussion that, by the title, sounded interesting. I read it and yes I was ready to comment. However, where the word 'Respond' should be, there was blank space. At first I thought the page had not fully loaded...so I hit refresh. Nothing. OK, now what's wrong? I closed out of that discussion and went back in - same thing. Then it hit me, I had been blocked. The funny part is that the person who did it is someone I've had no contact with. The name is not familiar. I guess maybe I wrote something that didn't fly well with that particular person, who knows. But at least now I can say I'm no longer a myLot Virgin.

If somebody blocks you don't be upset, be happy because that person wasn't worth a like or a respond.....................

Very true and I'm not upset, I have much more important things to worry about - like what to fix for dinner!

I heard about this knd of blockage from other users too. The funny part is most of them dont know the user who blocked them. I think this is some kind of glitch. But I havent had an experience like this yet.

I don't know if it's a glitch, If it was I would assume it would happen to more people.

@sishy7 What I don't like is that someone can block someone, often over something silly or petty, but once they do the person they blocked can't turn around and block them.

That is interesting. I don't think anyone has blocked me. I will have to wait and see if it does. I hope I don't offend anyone without meaning to.

@tallawah No - you earn by the comments you leave - you leaving comments on someone's post only help you not the other person.

I have heard that there is a user (ex Bubblers) who is blocking all those who came from Bubblews, I do not know the reason.

There are many fishes in the sea. Just think about this, it is better to be blocked by a person who don't like you than ending up in a fight with that person.

@AbbyGreenhill I remember someone here told a person " stop posting on my discussion! I dont like your non sense comments" and those 2 people end up fighting, Maybe you encountered that person before and you commented something that offends him. We know how shallow people are.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I said the person's name is not familiar and I have no memory of getting into any heated discussions with said person.

I guess it had to happen. In reading your words I had this fleeting thought that we should out the blockers, but then it occurred to me that those who block others clearly do not wish to share in the funds available for views and we should simply ignore them.

I was going to preemptively block everyone who could possibly block me so I'd never experience that... but then I realized I'd be pretty darn lonely within an hour or two. Guess I'll just have to put up with the consequences of occasionally rubbing some plagiarist's feathers the wrong way.

@AbbyGreenhill I pretty much meant that in a tongue-in-cheek manner, anyway. I've never been shy about saying exactly what I think of plagiarists here.
