I apologize to you and beg your forgiveness.
I thought I had the hang of using this site, but I am beyond understanding the notifications. I try to respond to all, then delete those I have answered. So why are they all back?
Forgive my stupidity, and please forgive me if you haven't received my response. I am not as tipsy as I was in this photo!

Its no use to delete them. You just check them and well move on

If you have deleted them in the Notifications screen, the same notifications should not appear again, though there may, of course, be new notifications that the same people have commented on the same discussions.
If you really are getting the same notifications back after you have deleted them, it would seem to be a case for @mylotbugs (just 'mentioning' like that will send him a notification, and he will no doubt take a look at your account for you).

I have not noticed that Dianne. If it persists, perhaps bring it to the Admins attention. Lovely photo of you two there, such beautiful smiles.

I don't know exactly what you mean, so I'll just guess.
My first guess is that you might think these 'discussion'-pages are some kind of "inbox," making you think that 'erasing the notification' should 'make the discussion invisible to you.' That's obviously not how it works. The discussion is like a blog, and the notifications are just 'response-alerts.'
More-likely (and this gets ME sometimes too) is the way we sometimes get two notifications for the very same reply: one for the fact that it's 'a reply on our own started-discussion,' and one for the fact that the discussion has "@DianneN" (or 'at-symbol'-SomeOtherUsername) in it.

O, I love you hairstyle! Been pleading my wife to cut her long hair to shoulder-length like yours . . . but she just loves to grow her hairs long! I hate long hairs!

I do delete mine, but I find that they time they 'seem' to come back is when an additional person responds. Then it will put their name first and a few others that made earlier comments all in the same notification. Is that what you're referring to possibly?
I know there are times when I get to liking to other people that made comments/responses on discussions of my friends, that I never got back to delete that particular comment, so it's still there when I begin anew. I'm trying out something new for me, but I don't know yet if it will work or help yet or not.

Maybe you are seeing new notifications of people's response to your comment. *be well*

I thought that this was a nice, fun looking picture.
When I go thru my notifications I don't delete them, I should buy that would be an extra step so I don't. I haven't had notifications come up twice on me, so I hope that this is just an odd gliche that will correct itself quickly.
