I have not joined the trend, but I think I may go print some color pages. I do not want to buy a whole book. Then if I wake up feeling stressed, I can color. I have coloring pencils and markers and so forth. Do you color for fun and stress relief?

I recently bought one of the adult coloring books, all full of butterflies, I have done like half of one page. I have found out how really bad I am at coloring lol.

@GardenGerty I'm using colored pencils, some of the areas to color are so small I have my glasses on and holding a magnifying glass as well.

I actually just started running an art group at a drop in center for adults with mental illness and coloring pages from adult coloring books was the first thing we did. Many people said it really helped their stress level.

One of the agencies I worked for actually opened up an art studio for clients. Some of them have mental illness, others physical and some are "developmentally delayed". All are encouraged to participate, they actually sell their art work in a store and make all the profit. Anyway one of my residential clients would not even sign his own name, and it took him quite a while to begin participating but it gave him a lot of pride to do so.

I also know some people who color on their computers with Paint. I am too shaky for that.

I have a coloring book - I got it in exchange for writing a review - I haven't used it.

My sister and her neighbors have all gotten into this. I like it for my sister. I helped her choose books as gifts for her friends. I have blank sketch pads here for me.

Printing them out would be wise. I have seen so many on the web. I only color with my grandchildren, so it's for fun. I don't have much stress in my life.

You know, I think perhaps it is wrong to label it as "stress relief" it is fun, a creative outlet and with your grand kids it is a way of socializing.

I love to color with pens, crayons markers whatever. I always have. I used coloring to calm down children that was A-D-D. But if I may call myself an artist, I just have always done this so its not new to me. DO IT! its fun :)

I am going to do some sketching and coloring I think. I looked at the coloring pages and decided I like my own designs. I love color.

I have always enjoyed coloring but felt a little shy about admitting it until the recent surge in interest in it. I have found some good picture to print on the internet.

I think it is great to have some kind of activity that is not electronic.

I am considering drawing some of my own pictures as well. Oh man, I used to sit and draw in boring high school classes. I had forgotten.

I used to prepare instructional materials in a preschool class and found it very relaxing. I like the creative outlet. I would do a lot of it while also watching television.

@GardenGerty Probably. I think to me it seems a waste of time - but I know people find it therapeutic which is great. :) It's just not for me.

I love to color and have liked doing it since I was a kid. For awhile, I thought I was the only adult who liked to color, it is nice to know others like it. I kept some of my kid's old coloring books and every so often, I will take them out and color pictures and it gives me a great feeling of creativity.

I got one of those coloring books along with a wide variety of pencils for Christmas. I haven't found time to sit and enjoy some coloring yet but it looks like it could be fun. Printing out pages to color is a sure way to save money and still enjoy the whole coloring experience

I've been thinking about it. I even looked for an adult coloring book at Wal-Mart yesterday, but didn't find any. I'll most likely buy a kids coloring book. It would do the same thing.

I actually like coloring in the pages and then cutting them up randomly and collaging with the pieces. You get relaxation that way but then you create your own original work of art.
