People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that Is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soulmate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so out of control that you have to transform your life. . .

I did meet my soul mate. Or I thought I did. We are not together, even though to this day I want to be. Sometimes, its hard to move on from that. But that's a long story. This is a beautiful post.

Thank you. And sorry to hear that. I believe whats meant to be will always find it's way back. Let me tell you something though, you can't sit around waiting for this person to come back,you should tell yourself to focus on a better you,as you slowly let go who know if it is meant to be then you shall have them back, or like you said, "or I thought I did", which means instead you'll end up with who really is your soulmate.

I believed I had met my soul mate and even to this day, tho we are not together, I believe it was a good time in my life. I learned many lessons, especially sacrifice.
