I am in complete shock as to the new features and operating system that Windows 10 has to offer. With a smooth interface, techy widgets and an HD display of easy quick commands. Im also enjoying the new office pack 2015 with the latest Xcel,Powerpoint,Word, and soo much more! Windows 10 is definitely the top innovated operational system I have ever used!

I'm 'scared' to download 10, I've heard so many bad things about it. With the new office pack, how does that affect the older office versions...I use Word a lot would hate to have my document messed up.

A good move What flavor of Linux have you installed ? I am using Slackware 14 on my laptop, and I have a Debian Wheezy console on my phone.

@LadyDuck True ! With Linux you are the only one to have access to your computer and to decide what you want on it. I am not a fan of Ubuntu, but it is a good Linux for someone coming from Windows, as it offers a maximum of software ready to install and it is easy to update the system. *(Looking at MATE)* Wow ! A mix of Gnome 2 and 3 working. I am using Gnome since years, but I have never mixed the versions. I will download a live CD of this one to have a look.

@topffer I have installed Ubuntu MATE, it's pretty easy to use for someone who comes from Windows. I cannot stand to use a systems that pretends to install and to what it wants. I want to be in control of what I do.

Yes I agree, windows 10 is just awesome, I've downloaded the free update a few days ago, and it has been running smoothly. Sure for 1 or 2 days, there will be a lot of windows update and store downloads, and the speed will be slow, but then it picks up and hasn't slowed down since. The Cortana feature is just marvellous, with almost perfect voice recognition. I'm using Office 2013 though, I'll use 2016 after all the bugs and corrections are fixed.

Glad someone likes it. I work in the software industry and I've yet to come across anyone who likes it. The only thing I can say about it is that it's better than Windows 8 but then again reverting to using paper tape and print-outs would be an improvement on Windows 8.

As long as there is Windows, you should expect that innovation will still continues. I myself don't get that amazed of some new features of Windows, it's their responsibility anyway to make improvements every new release and new patches.

I´m reading my driend´s answers in awe and crying inside for my lack of technology. I am still using Windows 7 and I don´t dare accept the Windows 10 version for fear that my old computer will explode.

When I bought my last computer, the guy I bought it from warned me off 10. He seemed to think it wasn't that great an improvement. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
