Why do bad things happen to good people?

I know you gals/guys probably don't want this show but there is the sweetest, classiest, neatest lady on Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her name is Yolanda and she had lime disease for several years. Has been really struggling with this disease that affects your brain. Now she has found out that her implants are leaking or the ones she had previously they didn't get all of when they took them out. So, now she is going into surgery to have all of them removed. She is so sick of all these problems. She just wants to get these out and get her body healing and give her immune system a chance to strengthen itself. I feel so badly for her. I just do not understand why good people have all these problems. I know. She's one of those rich b's and this and that but she is really a classy lady. She used to be a model and her daughter is now. They are very classy folks. She doesn't deserve this sort of thing. But, about my original question.....what about that?

I do not think there really is a reason Celtic. I think things just happen and unfortunately it seems to only happen to the ones considered "good." Of course we all have our faults, some are better at keeping them behind closed doors.

@celticeagle You can also say we only hear about the bad thing happening to good people because bad people don't want any more of their dirty laundry aired than already is. On a side note, did you purchase the coloring book?

@ScribbledAdNauseum ...This is certainly true. No, I decided to wait. Kids needed something. They always come first. Will get it soon.

I think things just happen, good or bad, to good or not so good people. It might also depends what we did or even what our parents did to us when we were young that affect our health.

@celticeagle I read from some Buddhism books, they believe in karma. Something you did before will affect you in the future. Though I still don't fully believe in previous or future lives as stated, I believe something we did when we were younger affect us when we are older. I know one of my health issues is caused by I slept too late when I was young. Not having enough sleep or sleeping too late is definitely not good for health. I might not feel sick when I was younger, but I feel it now.

Yes, and it doesn't seem fair. Maybe I should like myself better, then it wouldn't seem so bad. Hehe

I watch this show and also think she is a very classy lady. She is my fav on the show. I really feel for her because you can tell it is taking so much out of her, yet she goes on. And to top it off, her and her husband are going through a divorce.

@celticeagle I know and as far as I know there hasn't been a reason why stated. I'm sure it has to do with her wanting to be private about it as that is the kind of person she is.

This one question is haunting me for years, and as the days are passing, I can find more and more such examples. No one has the answer, but it is a discouraging fact to them all who teach their kids to be good.

Yes, that is certainly an aspect. Our kids. To a parent a child is perfect.

Health problems happen to everybody, good people and not so good people, but most of the time we do not even know.

Bad things happen to everyone. And also, we really don't know how 'good' people on TV are...

The name reminds me of one of the deadliest supertyphoon that ever landed on the Philippines, Supertyphoon Yolanda.
